The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, are a yearly ceremony honouring the best achievements in filmmaking from the preceding year. The ceremony is recognised as the most prestigious in the entertainment industry, and being awarded an Oscar is regarded as the highest honour for any actor or director.
Since their inception in 1929, the Oscars have expanded in scope and significance. The ceremony now draws millions of viewers from across the world and is aired in more than 200 nations. The top stars in Hollywood attend the event, and winning an Oscar can have a tremendous impact on a film or an actor's career.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which has over 9,000 members, casts votes each year to decide who will win in each category. In addition to various technical categories including Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound Mixing, the categories include Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.
The decision-making procedure takes a while. All of the eligible movies are delivered to Academy members as screeners, and they must see them all before voting. The winners are then unveiled during the live broadcast after the nominees are declared a few weeks before to the ceremony.

Many celebrities including Rihana, Lady Gaga ,Ke Huy Quan, Andrew Garfield, Jessica Chastain, Samuel l. Jackson, Ram Charan , JR. NTR,SS Rajamouli, MM Keerwani and many more attended the event as the guests and nominees .Elizabeth banks ,Riz Ahmed , Dwayne Johnson, Mindy Kaling, Elizabeth Olsen, Pedro Pascal and more other celebrities attended the Oscars as a presenters. Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will return for the third time to present the Oscar ceremony.
